How to Make Homemade Baked Beans
Ingredients
- 1 large can of pork and beans (up to 52 ounces if you are feeding a crowd)
- 1 can kidney beans, drained (15 ounces)
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and diced
- 1 can butter beans, drained (15 ounces)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. brown sugar
- 1 lb hamburger or smoked sausage (13 ounces)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar
Instructions
- First, brown your hamburger or smoked sausage.
- Next, add the onions and drain.
- Place everything in a greased casserole dish (9×13).
- Finally, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

What would it take to do this in the instant pot instead of baking in the oven.
I personally have never made them in the instant pot or a crockpot or anything so I am not sure how they would turn out. Im so sorry

How many does this feed?
These are my favorite beans! How can I get them to thicken up? I want that yummy caramelized goodness and my beans always turn out runny. *yes. I drain my beans* any advice?
