Loaded French Fries

Who doesn’t love loaded french fries!? These are super easy to make right from your home. Learn more below!

Also check out some other easy snack:

I am a sucker for loaded french fries and tots! Love them for an appetizer, snack, or a meal in itself! I created this recipe as an appetizer then my family ate it as their dinner! So this unofficial meal became a meal in itself! It is filling and can be enjoyed as a mid-afternoon, pre-dinner, or dinner! And bonus is that in all reality I was feeding my family a meal that was good for them! And for all of you vegan and vegetarians this meal fits right in to your lifestyle!

The day I was making these my kids had just walked in the door from school and I was preparing them. It was around 3:30 and I finished baking them, topping them, and photographing them just before 5:00. Right after I was done 3 of my 4 kids came in and began to DIG IN! The younger two opted for the roasted garlic hummus while myself and my oldest like a good kick and used the supremely spicy hummus for our fries.

Just before the plate was licked clean my husband walked in from work and of course wanted to join in on the taste testing! By the end everyone was full and happy! And while I was there watching them all dig in while snapping a few photos I forgot what was even on the dinner menu for the night and These Loaded Baked French Fries became our dinner! And none of us were sad one bit about it!

Also wanted to throw it out there that National Hummus Day is coming up May 13th! Sabra is going to have a lot of social sharing going on throughout the week to celebrate! So make sure you are on the look out of ways to incorporate their deliciousness into meals at home! I always love to see what new things people come up with!

Loaded Fries Recipe

Baked French Fries Ingredients

  • 3 Large Russet Potatoes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare the potatoes to be cut into fries by cutting off the ends of the potatoes and then cutting into even strips. Here is a handy tutorial video that I watched to learn how to best cut the potatoes into fries.
  2. In a large bowl place the olive oil and spices. Whisk together. Toss in cut potatoes gradually while mixing until all potatoes are coated in the olive oil mixture.
  3. Place on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 40 minutes. Keep an eye on the potatoes and depending on how thick or thin you cook them will depend on the baking time!
  4. *I did not flip mine half way through like I sometimes do while baking fries so if you feel like yours need it then you can flip them or turn the oven onto broil the last 5 minutes to crisp them up*
