Chicken Chalupas Recipe

My kids love making and eating these chicken chalupas with me. We normally make enchiladas with corn tortillas so these are a little different since they are made with flour tortillas! They are a crowd favorite and can be easily doubled or tripled to feed a crowd! Not to mention they are also fun to make! Try out this easy Mexican recipe the whole family will LOVE!

What is a chalupa?

  • Similar to enchiladas, chalupas are a classic Mexican dish made of fried or cooked tortillas with filling inside. Chalupas can be stuffed with all kinds of ingredients like beef, pork, or chicken and they create tons of flavor!

 

Chicken Chalupas Recipe

Chicken Chalupas

Chicken Chalupas
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6-8 chicken breasts, boiled and diced or shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 2.25 oz small can diced black olives
  • 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • Shredded cheese
  • 1 4 oz small diced green chiles
  • 1 dozen flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Boil and dice the chicken and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan heat the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, green chilies, and black olives.
  3. When heated completely add cooked chicken.
  4. Fill the small tortillas with chicken mixture and add grated cheese.
  5. Roll and place in pan. Continue to fill pan. Leave enough chicken mixture to spread over top.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Simple Instructions

  1. Boil and dice the chicken.

  5. Roll and place in pan.
  6. Spread remaining chicken on top.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
