Overnight Eggnog French Toast Casserole
This eggnog French toast was first seen on the Food Network Channel! I have been wanting to recreate it ever since! And I finally did!
Overnight Eggnog French Toast
2 cups half and half
1 cup eggnog
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 loaf thick french toast bread
In the morning add these ingredients together in a bowl, whisk together, then drizzle on bread before you bake
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg
In a bowl whisk together all ingredients except the bread and toppings.
Then grab a baking dish and lightly grease. Then arrange the slices of bread, barely overlapping in the bottom of the dish. Then pour the egg mixture entirely over the bread. ( you can also dice up the bread if you would like)
Cover and refrigerate overnight or for a few hours.
Then in a bowl combine the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and then drizzle over the bread.
Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
