Halloween food doesn’t have to look or taste as spooky as it looks and this pigs in a blanket recipe is AMAZING! I was super excited to create these yummy, but simple, Halloween bats using Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies, a favorite for the entire family!

This recipe ensures you have the perfect appetizer for a Halloween get together or a main dish at a spooky Halloween dinner! I love using Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies for this because they’re made with quality cuts of meat and smoked to perfection. Bonus is the fact that this pigs in a blanket recipe can be made in 15 minutes!

How to Make Halloween Pigs in a Blanket

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Take the rolls of crescent dough and unroll. To make small bats take each triangle and separate. Then cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 narrow triangles.
  3. Then take 1 Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies and place it in the center. Take one side and place over the Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies and then take the other side and create a criss-cross pattern. Then lay flat on each side to create the wings. Place on a cookie sheet and then bake for 8 minutes.
  4. Add then remove from the oven and place two dots out of ketchup to make the eyes. Then serve!

Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs of Kroger crescent rolls
  • 1 pkg Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Take the rolls of crescent dough and unroll. To make small bats take each triangle and separate. Then cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 narrow triangles.
