Halloween food doesn’t have to look or taste as spooky as it looks and this pigs in a blanket recipe is AMAZING! I was super excited to create these yummy, but simple, Halloween bats using Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies, a favorite for the entire family!
This recipe ensures you have the perfect appetizer for a Halloween get together or a main dish at a spooky Halloween dinner! I love using Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies for this because they’re made with quality cuts of meat and smoked to perfection. Bonus is the fact that this pigs in a blanket recipe can be made in 15 minutes!
How to Make Halloween Pigs in a Blanket
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Take the rolls of crescent dough and unroll. To make small bats take each triangle and separate. Then cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 narrow triangles.
- Then take 1 Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies and place it in the center. Take one side and place over the Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies and then take the other side and create a criss-cross pattern. Then lay flat on each side to create the wings. Place on a cookie sheet and then bake for 8 minutes.
- Add then remove from the oven and place two dots out of ketchup to make the eyes. Then serve!

- 2 pkgs of Kroger crescent rolls
- 1 pkg Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies
