It’s about that time of year – time to break out the Crockpot to make slow cooker beef bourguignon!

How to make Simple slow cooker beef bourguignon

  1. Grab a skillet and drizzle some olive oil. Then take the beef cubes and season with salt and pepper on all sides. Then take the beef and brown on all sides and then spoon the meat in the crockpot. Keeping the juices in the skillet.
  2. Then add the bacon pieces into the same pan and cook. Then add the bacon to the crockpot.
  3. Then in the same skillet add the onions and minced garlic. Saute until the onions become transparent and then place the onions and garlic in the crockpot.
  4. In the same skillet pour in the beef broth and red wine. Bring to a rapid bowl and cook for 10 minutes until the wine is cooked out and then add the tomato sauce and whisk together.
  5. While it is simmering add the carrots, mushrooms, and potatoes to the crockpot.
  6. Then pour the sauce over everything in the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours. Then serve.

  • 2 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 4 large carrots, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 lb baby yellow dutch potatoes
