Cream of Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 quart half and half
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 14 oz can chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat add the butter, half and half and cream cheese and chicken broth. Let it melt all together. Then let it simmer for a few minutes. In a bowl add together the milk and flour. Whisk until smooth and then add to the cream mixture. Then add the frozen broccoli. Let it cook for 10 minutes while stirring. Then remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.
