Overnight Apple Pie French Toast

Overnight Apple Pie French Toast

I am so excited to share this overnight apple pie french toast with you! I can already tell this is going to be a special family recipe. I hope you try it and love it as much as we do!

How to make overnight apple pie french toast

  1. To make apple pie french toast, mix all the ingredients (except the bread) in a bowl. Whisk until eggs are combined. Then in a 9 x 13 baking dish arrange the cubes of bread. (I have made it with normal bread and french bread, thicker more dense bread is better for this recipe so go with the french bread)
  2. Then after the bread is in the baking dish pour over the egg mixture. Mix it all together. Then add the streusel topping ingredients together in a bowl and mix until clumps form to create a crumble. Then sprinkle it over the soaked bread. Then cover and put in fridge OVERNIGHT.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat add the butter and apple pieces. Cook for about 5 minutes and then add the brown sugar and cook for another 5 minutes then remove from heat.
  4. Grab a cookie sheet and evenly spread the apple filling. Then take the soaked bread cubes and place on top of the filling. Try to keep the streusel on top. Then place in an oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until the bread is all cooked and slightly crispy! Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon syrup
