Lemonade on a Front Porch

Lemonade on a Front Porch

There is nothing more relaxing then sitting on a porch sipping on a refreshing drink while your kids play outside with their friends! This time of year in Arizona all the neighborhood kids are roaming the streets. Give it a month or two and no one will be found out front and will have migrated to the back yard for the swimming pool! But for now I am so excited to enjoy this spring time weather. A few months ago my flower beds were full of just dirt and our patio was empty. When I heard about a Wayfair campaign …

Apple Crepes

Our family has a hot breakfast a couple times a week. And by hot breakfast I mean either french toast, waffles or pancakes and all of these include eggs and usually bacon and occasionally sausage. We top ours with my favorite buttermilk syrup and fruit. And ps I am a HUUUUGE fan of Zaycon’s Bacon! You need to try it out. But anyways back to breakfast…so on the weeks where I feel like I have made the same type of breakfast over and over again I try to throw in something a little different and that is where these crepes …

Pesto Peach Pasta

This pasta may seem a little random to some but these flavors somehow taste amazing together. One of my moms best friends named Jill gave her this pasta recipe. Every recipe I have ever tried of Jill’s is out of this world. This recipe is just that. During the late summer months peaches are ripe everywhere. I order a large box of peaches from Utah that get shipped here and there are gone very very fast. Usually just plain, with cream, or in desserts. That is why every year I throw in this recipe at least once to have …

Banana Muffins with Streusel Topping

Banana Muffins with Streusel Topping There is nothing like warm banana muffins or bread right out of the oven! Enjoy this yummy recipe that is super easy to prepare! Unfortunately bananas rarely get brown in our house. My kids (especially my baby girl) love bananas! The only time we have ripe enough bananas to make banana bread or frosted banana bars is when we go out of town. So that is exactly what happened! We went out of town and came home and had 1 day in between leaving out of town again and so I whipped up my absolute …

Serve it up with some cinnamon chips and it is absolutely amazing! If you have any Mexican type grocery stores they should offer these chips. Cant wait for you all to taste this yummy treat!   Apple Berry Salsa   2 medium granny smith apples 1 kiwi, peeled 1 cup strawberries, sliced 1 small orange 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, packed …

St Patricks Day Meal

St Patricks Day Meal

It feels like all over Pinterest during this time of year is fun things to eat, craft, or decorate for St.  Patricks Day. I always pin a million things and plan to do them with my kids but rarely does it ever happen. (Hopefully I’m not the only one) I was out of town with my kids while my husband worked the days leading up to this holiday. So when I returned home I was exhausted, had a pile of laundry to do, and was trying to pick my battles. So the unpacking and laundry was set aside to make this fun …

Lemon Bars

Lemon Bars

There are certain desserts that I forget about and then when someone brings them up I cannot get them out of my mind until I make {or eat} them. That is exactly what happened with these lemon bars. One of my very best friends is also my neighbor and the other day she mentioned that she was going to make lemon bars. Well long story short she ended up making something else and I have not been able to stop thinking about these lemon bars. And fortunately the person who lives directly behind me has a lemon tree that will …

Berry Cobbler in a MUG!

*Giveaway closed….winner is JODI FOLKERTS*  Congratulations Jodi!  I received a fun package from ShirleyJ packed full to the brim with fun mugging flavors! And what a treat it has been to try them out! Our favorites have been the yellow cake mix cobbler, chocolate brownie cake, and country style cornbread. I have 3 children under the age of 5. Their attention span doesn’t last very long. So when my 3 year old wanted brownies and wanted them fast I knew that through “Mugging” I could make that possible! Grabbed the mug, poured in the mix, mixed for 30 seconds, place in the …
