Wedge Salad
Wedge Salad
Wedge Salads have always been a favorite of mine to order at restaraunts. After ordering them weekend after weekend on date night I decided one night to whip up my own. I did not realize how simple and potentially cheap and fast wedge salads were to make!
They are a type of salad that can be customized very easily and made within minutes. Wedge Salads are really a personal preference (mine and my husbands are completely different) But here is what my husband and I put on our wedge salads
Wedge Salad
Head of Iceberg Lettuce
toppings:
tomatoes, diced
avocado, diced
cheese (blue cheese for me & Shredded cheddar cheese for my husband)
bacon, cooked and diced up
sugar nuts (take some sliced almonds in a small skillet and sprinkle on a little sugar, heat up over low heat while stirring until the sugar begins to melt and caramelize the nuts then remove immediately from the heat and let cool)
croutons
ranch dressing
Cut the head of lettuce into 1/4ths. Then place the lettuce down and top with toppings and serve with dressing of your choice
