BBQ Chicken Pizza with homemade dough

How to make homemade pizza dough

  1. In a bowl combine the water, sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until yeast begins to bubble.
  2. Then add the oil, salt and flour slowly. Mix together for 5 minutes. If dough is sticky add more flour if dough is dry add more oil.
  3. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Then divide the dough into 4 sections and then sprinkle down a little flour and roll into a circle. Place on a baking sheet and then brush with a little oil live and then poke some holes with a fork and then top with sauce and pizza toppings.
  5. Bake at 500 degrees for 15-20  minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups warm water
  • 2 T sugar
  • 3 heaping T yeast
  • 6 T oil
  • 1 T salt
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 cup rotisserie chicken, cooked
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly diced
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 cup gouda cheese, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • cooked bacon crumbles

6 T oil

pizza ingredients

1 cup rotisserie chicken, cooked

1/4 red onion, thinly diced

1/2 cup bbq sauce

1 T olive oil

1 cup gouda cheese, grated

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

cooked bacon crumbles

pizza instructions

Take chicken and season with salt and pepper and then toss with olive oil and 2 Tablespoons bbq sauce. Then set aside.

Once dough is done and rolled into a circle take about 1/3 cup of the bbq sauce and spread onto the dough. Then top with chicken, cheeses and red onion.

Then bake at 500 for 15-20 minutes. Then remove from oven drizzle remaining bbq sauce and top with cilantro and bacon crumbles

  1. Great recipe Scarlett! We can also use leftovers of Rotisserie Chicken, if lying around to include as toppings in homemade pizzas. Cultivating a crust from scratch is something delightful, if one has the time and lends extra favour to any pizza. Homemade dough is healthier and best.
