  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Toppings:

  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Season the chicken: Pat chicken dry and place in the dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Make the garlic cream sauce: In a small pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Pour & bake: Pour the sauce over the chicken. Bake uncovered for 18–20 minutes.

  5. Add toppings: Remove from oven and top each piece with tomato slices and mozzarella.

  6. Finish baking: Return to the oven for another 10–12 minutes, until the chicken reaches 165°F and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Garnish & serve: Top with fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
