Pork Puff Pastry Bites with BBQ dipping sauce

How to make Pork Puff Pastry Bites

  1. To make Pork Puff Pastry Bites, grab a crockpot and place pork roast in it. Rub it down the the salt. Then add the liquid smoke. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. Then shred
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry and cut each sheet into 9 squares (giving you 18 total).
  4. Then arrange the cooked and shredded pork down the center of the pastry squares in a diagonal line. Then sprinkle in the cheese.
  5. Fold the opposite corners of each square and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. In a small bowl whisk together egg and water to create an egg wash. Then brush each pastry with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While they bake in a bowl add together mayo, sour cream, seasonings, and BBQ sauce. Whisk together and then once the pork pastry bites are done serve with dipping sauce.

  • 2-3 lb pork roast

  • 1 box (2 rolls) puff pastry
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 T water
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t minced onion, dried
  • 1 t Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
