BLT Pasta Salad

BLT Pasta Salad

Ready for a BLT pasta salad?! When it comes to the new year, I’m always brainstorming new ways to incorporate salads into my weekly meal plans. My family loves to have salad on the side of each meal and this one has become a new favorite! I envision this salad with a yummy BBQ meal or even as the main course! When you add pasta (bowtie is my fave!) to any salad, it definitely makes it more filling!

Plus, if you’re not into the pasta addition – it is extremely easy to remove or substitute!

BLT, Bacon lettuce and tomato. Add some pasta and a homemade ranch dressing and you have one amazing pasta salad! This assemble and enjoy recipe is a must try this season!

BLT Pasta Salad Ingredients:

  • 16 oz Bow tie pasta
  • 1 pint Cherry tomatoes
  • 2 heads Romaine
  • 1 lb bacon, cooked and sliced
  • Homemade ranch dressing

How to Make BLT Pasta Salad:

  1. Assemble and then right before serving top with ranch dressing and then serve.

FAQs About This Recipe:

  1. What type of bacon do you use?

Because it is going to be covered in dressing – I’ll buy whatever is on sale at the store that week. I prefer a thicker cut bacon and I think it packs more flavor into this recipe. You can get plain bacon, applewood, or any other flavor you like.
  2. How do I make homemade ranch? This recipe is coming soon and I can’t WAIT! In the meantime, use your favorite store bought ranch!
  3. Is this a good option for get togethers?Absolutely! Make sure to bring the dressing on the side so that the lettuce doesn’t get too soggy!
  4. Should I assemble ahead of serving? For leftovers, I prefer to keep everything separate so nothing goes to waste. For example, I can use the pasta for another dish! For this reason, I tend to serve just enough for our family to eat and I can always make more if needed.
