Jacob’s Pickles Buttermilk Biscuits – A copycat Recipe!

Homemade flaky biscuits drizzled with honey from Jacob’s Pickles are the best! I’ve tried many different recipes for biscuits and the ones from Jacob’s Pickles are my favorite! My family absolutely loves homemade biscuits. It is one of the things my husband will even hop in the kitchen with my kids and make.

You may not realize it, but biscuits are not as hard as you would think to make. Most of the ingredients you probably already have sitting on your pantry shelf! They are the perfect add on to any meal and a lot of my other recipes. Quick, easy, and most of all delicious!

Biscuits are meant to be versatile and shared with a group of people. They can be made in many different ways and put with various meals throughout the day. It has taken me awhile to master this recipe because I wanted it to be perfect and I’ve been so excited to share it with you all!

Each time our family has traveled to New York City we make sure to stop by the famous Jacob’s Pickles Restaurant. My husband and kids always beg me to go, so that we can get their family style dinners and amazing food. They are known for many things and their menu is full of American comfort food items, but one of our absolute favorites are still the biscuits. Nothing better then a warm Jacob’s Pickles biscuit to have as a side dish after a long day.

I have tried to re-create their biscuits multiple times and finally I am ready to share a recipe that is just as yummy as theirs! I truly hope you enjoy it!

How to make Jacob’s Pickles Buttermilk Biscuits at home

  1. In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Then mix together
  2. Grab a cheese grater and grate the cold butter and add in the grated butter into the flour mixture.
  3. Cut in the butter
  4. Fold it together and keep kneading until the dough is formed.
  5. Sprinkle down some flour onto the counter top and then place the dough on top. Roll it out into a 8x6inch rectangle
  6. Cut it into pieces
  7. Then bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
  8. When the biscuits are finished remove from oven and drizzle with honey and serve.

  • 5 cups flour (plus more to sprinkle down)
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 3-4 tablespoons honey

Instructions
