Reeses Dip
Ingredients
8oz. Cream Cheese, softened
¾ cup Powdered Sugar
½ cup Peanut Butter, I used Sugar Free
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 cup Reese’s, chopped
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to beat them together until smooth.
- Next, add in the peanut butter and mix until combined.
- Once the mixture is smooth, fold in the Cool Whip gently. Use a spatula to combine the Cool Whip with the peanut butter mixture. Be careful not to overmix to maintain a light and fluffy texture.
- Add in chopped Reese’s to the dip before serving.
- Serve with apples, vanilla wafers, chocolate chip cookies, graham crackers, or even pretzels.
Tips and FAQ’s
- Soften the Cream Cheese: Make sure the cream cheese is properly softened. Leave it at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour before using it in the recipe. This ensures that it blends smoothly with the other ingredients.
- Creamy Peanut Butter: I used sugar-free creamy peanut butter since added powdered sugar, I didn’t want it overly sweet, but you can use regular creamy peanut butter if you want. I would just do about ½ cup of powdered sugar instead of the full ¾ cups.
- When folding in the Cool Whip, gently fold it to maintain the dip’s light and airy texture. Overmixing can cause the dip to become dense.
- Feel free to add different toppings to the dip, like crushed Reese’s peanut butter cups, mini chocolate chips, or chopped peanuts for added texture and flavor. • While the dip can be served immediately, it’s often better when chilled for an hour or two before serving.
- If you have leftovers or want to prepare the dip in advance, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Properly stored, it should remain good for about 3 to 4 days.
