This stuffed shell recipe is not your average stuffed shell recipe and it so so yummy!

 

Carbonara Stuffed Shells

Carbonara Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • 3/4 box of (12 oz) jumbo pasta shells
  • water
  • olive oil
  • garlic salt
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 (15 oz) container of ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 pieces of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 (15 oz) jar of Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

    1. Grab the medium pot and boil some water. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
    2. Then cook the pasta according to the directions on the back. Once the shells are cooked drain and rinse with cold water and then seasoning with olive oil and garlic salt. Toss and set aside.
    3. In a bowl add the cooked shredded chicken, ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, beaten egg, seasonings and garlic. Then add 2 pieces of the crumbled bacon. Mix together well. Then season with salt and pepper.
    4. In a different bowl add the Alfredo sauce and chicken broth and mix together.
    5. Then grab a 9x13 baking dish (or 2 9x9) and spray with cooking spray. Then pour a little bit of the Alfredo sauce mixture in the bottom and spread around.
    6. Then take the stuffed shells and fill with the chicken mixture, one by one and place in the baking dish. Once all the shells are filled sprinkle on the remaining slices of crumbled bacon.
    7. Then pour on the rest of the Alfredo sauce.
    8. Then bake at 375 degrees uncovered for 35 minutes or until the sauce begins to bubble on the sides.
