Overnight Eggs Benedict Breakfast Casserole
Eggs Benedict at home. Have you ever thought that you could make that? I didn’t until I tried!
This casserole is the perfect way to start trying to make eggs Benedict at home without the pressure of poaching an egg AND making a hollandaise sauce.
Simple Steps to make Eggs Benedict at home
- Grab the English muffins and dice them into 1 inch cubes. Then place on a cookie sheet under an oven heated to 500 degrees or broil. Cook for 2 minutes. Flip or shake the bread and then cook for 2 more minutes or until lightly brown and toasted.
- Then grab a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and spray with cooking spray. Then line up 1/2 of the Canadian Bacon slices. Then sprinkle on the toasted English muffins. Then top with the remaining Canadian bacon slices.
- Then grab a bowl and whisk together the 8 eggs, milk and seasoning. Pour over the bread and meat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning remove from fridge and let sit on the counter while the oven heats up. Then sprinkle with the paprika and bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes covered. Then uncover and bake for 10-15 minutes longer.
- In a double broiled or metal bowl over simmering water whisk together the egg yolks, cream, lemon juice, and mustard. Whisk until the mixture is thick enough to coat the bacon of a spoon.
- Then turn the heat down to low and whisk in slowly, the melted butter. Then drizzle over the casserole or slice then drizzle and serve!
or if you just simply want to make Hollandaise sauce
Here are the simple steps to make Hollandaise sauce at home
- In a double broiled or metal bowl over simmering water whisk together the egg yolks, cream, lemon juice, and mustard. Whisk until the mixture is thick enough to coat the bacon of a spoon.
- Then turn the heat down to low and whisk in slowly, the melted butter. Then drizzle over the casserole or slice then drizzle and serve!
