Easy Jalapeno Popper Chicken Flautas
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup salsa verde (plus more salsa for topping)
- 2 jalapeños, de-seeded and diced small
- 3 T peach jam or apricot marmalade
- 4-8 oz whipped cream cheese
- 10 flour tortillas
- olive oil
Instructions
- In a crockpot toss in chicken breasts, 1 cup salsa verde and diced jalapeño. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- Then shred chicken once it is cooked and add the jam. Then stir in whipped cream cheese. You want it to be creamy so depending on how big your chicken breasts are with depending on how much whipped cream cheese to add.
- Then take the tortillas and fill with chicken filling. Brush with a little olive oil and place seem side down on a cookie sheet. Then Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Then eat!

What is the difference between flautas and taquitos? This chicken flauta recipe is so yummy and a little outside the box! It is family friendly but can also be made more spicy by using hot salsa verde and not taking out the jalapeño seeds.
