Polynesian Grilled or Baked Chicken Drumsticks!

This sweet baked chicken drumsticks recipe is a crowd favorite because the flavor is so unique! It is unlike any other chicken recipe I make and can be baked and grilled which adds variety to our weekly meals! Juicy and delicious – these will always be in our dinner rotation. How to make Polynesian Baked Chicken Drumsticks

  1. In a bowl whisk together sauce.
  2. Then place the chicken drumsticks in a container or ziplock bag and pour the sauce on the chicken.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Then place the chicken drumsticks on a sheet pan for 55 minutes. Or you can grill the chicken.
  4. While the chicken is cooking in a saucepan make a sauce.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and top with fruit cocktail sauce. Sprinkle with the shredded coconut and serve!

Polynesian Grilled or Baked Chicken Drumsticks

ingredients

3 lbs chicken drumsticks

4 T oil

4 T soy sauce

4 T Worcestershire sauce

2 T garlic powder

2 T dried minced onion

2 t salt

2 t black pepper

20 oz can pineapple chunks

30 oz fruit cocktail

1/2 cup apple juice

2 T cornstarch

1/3 cup shredded coconut, optional garnish

In a bowl whisk together oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then place the chicken drumsticks in a container or ziplock bag and pour the sauce on the chicken. Mix it chicken all together with the sauce. You can either marinade it in the fridge for later or you can bake it.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Then place the chicken drumsticks on a sheet pan for 55 minutes. Or you can grill the chicken.

While the chicken is cooking in a saucepan on the stove top add the pineapple juice (save the chunks), fruit cocktail juice (save the fruit), apple juice and slowly whisk in the cornstarch. Then mixture will start to boil and get thick. Then add the fruit back in.

Remove the chicken from the oven and top with fruit cocktail sauce. Sprinkle with the shredded coconut and serve!
