Chili Cheese Dogs
Chili Cheese Dogs
Here is the best way to cook chili cheese little smokies!
If you have ever had pigs in a blanket, then this is the perfect alternative to that recipe! I was in the grocery store one day and found these little sausages I thought were so cute. I came up with making them into a chili dish on the fly! This is the best appetizer to bring to your next party. The preparation takes longer than it does to cook and would be perfect to make as a last minute meal. I guarantee you they will be gobbled up just like my whole family does only seconds after I make them.
This recipe is simple and does not require as much ingredients as it looks. The little sausages can be eaten separately or dipped into the chili. Whichever way you prefer, it is the perfect way to satisfy everyone at the table! Check out these easy steps for your perfect appetizer.

Steps to make mini Chili Cheese Dogs
- Grab the roll of crescent dough and unroll and then cut each piece into 3rds. They should be in long thin strips.
- Then take the little smokies and roll each one in the crescent dough (like you are making pigs in a blanket) continue to roll them until all the dough is done. (you will have left over little smokies)
- Then grab a pie dish and place then around the outsides but create like a wreath. Where the center is open.
- Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with a little olive oil.
- In a bowl mix together the chili, cream cheese and 1/2 cup cheese. Stir together. Then pour the chili cheese mixture in the center of the “wreath” top with a little cheese (save a little cheese to top after the oven)
- Then place in a preheated oven to 375 for 12-15 minutes.
- Then remove from oven and top the chili with remaining cheese and diced onions if you would like! Then serve!
