I came up with these on the fly! Figured they were the perfect use of the cheese little sausages I found at the store! My whole family absolutely gobbled them up!

Steps to make mini Chili Cheese Dogs

  1. Grab the roll of crescent dough and unroll and then cut each piece into 3rds. They should be in long thin strips.
  2. Then take the little smokies and roll each one in the crescent dough (like you are making pigs in a blanket) continue to roll them until all the dough is done. (you will have left over little smokies)
  3. Then grab a pie dish and place then around the outsides but create like a wreath. Where the center is open.
  4. Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with a little olive oil.
  5. In a bowl mix together the chili, cream cheese and 1/2 cup cheese. Stir together. Then pour the chili cheese mixture in the center of the “wreath” top with a little cheese (save a little cheese to top after the oven)
  6. Then place in a preheated oven to 375 for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Then remove from oven and top the chili with remaining cheese and diced onions if you would like! Then serve!

13 oz package of cheddar little smokies

1 roll of Pillsbury crescent rolls

1 cup chili (beans or no beans)

3 oz cream cheese,softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

diced onions, optional

olive oil
