Looking for the best recipe to make homemade waffles for a crowd? This recipe is perfect for holidays or family gatherings when you need to feed a lot of people. Or for when you feel like eating a mountain of delicious breakfast food!

If you are only needing to make a smaller batch of waffles this recipe is easily cut in half.

Some of my other favorite breakfast recipes are these:

Homemade breakfast

A hearty breakfast is just how I like to start my mornings! I truly do believe and it has been proven that my kids are less likely to snack throughout the day when we start the day with a hearty breakfast. Maybe that’s why people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

These waffles are light and fluffy. These are ingredients that we always have on hand and it has become our quick and easy go-to breakfast for the past several years. Who doesn’t love an amazing breakfast dish? I promise your family will fall in love with breakfast after this meal.

How to make waffles light and fluffy?

The key to light and fluffy waffles is by mixing the wet and dry ingredients separately. This helps so you don’t over mix the waffle mix. By whisking the wet ingredients together, then all you need to do is fold in the dry ingredients!

This helps prevent over mixing your batter and making waffles light and fluffy. Which is the best way to eat waffles!

Freezing waffles?

I always love making extra waffles and having them on hand for my kids when I am out of town or busy in the mornings and they need a hearty breakfast. This is why I made the recipe to make multiple waffles! The more the merrier.

I let the waffles cool and then freeze them in a single layer until they are frozen and then you can individually wrap the waffles in an airtight container or in separate ziplock bags. Freezer bags are also good to store them in and can be found at your local grocery stores!

Reheating waffles?

My favorite way to reheat waffles is in the toaster. You can also heat them directly in the microwave! Top with leftover syrup and you are good to go!
