How to Make Cranberry Salsa

 Bean dip may be the main dish of your Superbowl but this Cranberry Salsa will be the main dish of my Christmas! The ingredients are simple and the cooking time is quick. It just takes a little love and magic! This is my favorite type of salsa! Nothing beats fresh cranberries over a creamy mixture paired with tasty crackers! This will definitely be a hit at your next holiday party. Did you know cranberries have a crazy amount of benefits? So while this is a treat, you are also treating your body as well!  The best part is that kids ALSO love it. Move over chips and cheese, there is a new favorite appetizer in town!

Let’s get to the ingredients and prep process for this amazingly good Cranberry Salsa!

Cranberry Salsa

Sweet, spicy, and creamy all in one! Who wouldn't want a bite of this cranberry salsa over a bed of cream cheese mixed with sour cream and mayo?

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag cranberries
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 jalapeno, de-seeded
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayo

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a food processor until finely chopped (exclude the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo).
  2. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo mixture.
  3. Mix ingredients together and then spread cream cheese mixture onto a platter. About ½ inch thick, then top with cranberry salsa. Garnish with cilantro and serve with wheat thins or your favorite crackers.
