Frequent Asked Questions and Tips:
Tip- How to keep apples from browning- When using apples, I always slice or dice my apples first then soak in 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 cups of water for about 5 minutes. After soaking drain lemon water and rinse. This will keep apples from browning for 3 days.
- Can I make this dessert ahead of time? I would say yes partially, I would wait to put on the diced apples right before serving.
- Do I really need to add all the ingredients to the sugar cookie dough? You could omit the pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon BUT this does really make the pizza. This crust brings this caramel pizza to life.
- Can I use red apples? Sure, can! I grew up with green apples dipped into caramel, so that is my go too.
- Can I use a different nut besides pecans? Sure, can!
