Stitch Birthday Party! | Stitch Birthday Cake
Stitch Birthday Party | Stitch Birthday Cake
Disney’s Lilo and Stitch has been a hit in our home for the past 5 years. My daughter Tess has been a huge Stitch fan and this year she picked Stitch for her birthday party theme and for her stitch birthday cake. This was tougher to pull off than I thought but it came together perfectly! It was the best day!
My top buys for a Lilo and Stitch Party
- Ukeleles
- Stitch party hats
- Stitch party plates
- Hawaiian table clothes
- Stitch cupcake toppers
- Pineapple plates
- Pineapple cups
- Candy, Candy, Candy and more Candy
- Stitch popcorn boxes
- Stitch socks (I added these to the goodie bags)
- Hawaiian necklaces
- Stitch stickers
- Stitch gift bags
For the decorations:
- I used a lot of the surf items from my sons “Hang Ten” birthday party
- I used the Surf prints from BFF Print Shop and just printed them at Walgreens using their promo codes that they have regularly
- The wrapping paper that I used is from @violagraceshop
- The macaroons were done by the amazing @norasmacarons
- The freeze dry candy for the gift bags were from @sugar.coataz
- The photo bus was from @crusinphotobus
Stitch Cake
My daughter was turning 9 years old so I wanted to create a birthday party that was for “pre-teens” and so I knew I wanted to add some crafts, fun, an interactive element and yummy food – including an epic stitch birthday cake!
For the fun activity I rented a mechanical surf board. I rented from Arizona Bounce Around. They have been a company that I continue to use over and over again. They have so many options for different rentals!
Entertainment
For the interactive element I wanted to add the “Hawaiian” touch and so I scheduled Hula dancers and Fire dancers that I scheduled through Moki’s Hawaiian Restaurant. ( I also ordered the food through them) They came and taught the girls how to hula and the fire dancers taught the boys some Hawaiian dances.
For the craft element (which is perfect for every 9 year old) was that we had ukuleles for each guest to customize. They painted them and then took them home. We also had a station for making leis that they did.
For the “pre-teen” element I rented a photo bus. The kids all piled in and spent hours and hours taking photos together. They also were able to take home the photo strips and my daughter was able to save the ones she took with her friends to remember the night!
For the balloons I used @makeitpopbykris on Instagram and for the light up letters I used @Alphalitphoenix
The shirts were made custom for each guest by @snapandpop_studio! Such a fun touch!
Food
And most importantly, for the food, I decided to order from Moki’s Hawaiian food! They are our favorite Hawaiian food place in Arizona! I have been going there since I got married and before I had kids. It feels extra special and fun to have them make food for my kids birthday parties!
For the treats I did just about one of everything! How darling is this stitch birthday cake?!
I hope you enjoyed these fun party ideas, especially the stitch birthday cake! The kids had a blast and I know this is a day Tess will remember for years to come. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below!
Where did you get your welcome sign and sign for the food? Thank you

Hi! I checked this post and then the links from your ‘hang ten’ party also. I can not find a link for the background you have. It’s almost like a wrap around that you used, instead of a hula skirt…? It’s blue, yellow, green..
Hi! Where did you get the ukeleles from?
This is absolutely wonderful! My son loves Stitch and we are planning a Lilo and Stitch birthday party for him. You have given me some really great ideas. Your theming is so well-executed. I love how you were so methodical with the fun activity, the craft element, the entertainment, and the pre-teen element. You are so thoughtful in your planning. I’m sure her friends look forward to her birthday every year! Thanks for all of the great ideas!
