Slow Cooker Mongolian Chicken and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 T apple cider vinegar
- 2 T hoisin sauce
- 2 t freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- salt and pepper
- 1 floret of broccoli
- rice
- toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Grab a crockpot and place the chicken in the bottom of it. Then grab a bowl and whisk together the remaining ingredients. (except the broccoli and rice)
- Take the sauce and pour 1/2 of it over the chicken. (saved the rest in the fridge for later)
- Cook on low for 7 hours.
- Then 30 minutes before you are ready to cook. Add the broccoli to the crockpot. Stir it into all the juices and shred the chicken.
- Then pour the sauce that was saved over the chicken and broccoli.
- Then it cook on high for 30 minutes or while you make the rice.
- Then top with some sesame seeds if you want!
- Grab the cook rice and top with the chicken and broccoli and eat on up!
