If you are a fan of spinach dip like me and love a little spice this recipe will soon become one of your favorites!

This spinach dip is perfect for an adult gathering if has a kick to it with the jalapenos and the red wine vinegar gives it a unique flavor!

 

How to make hot and spicy jalapeño dip

  1. Preheat: preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  2. Combine: mix together the cream cheese and half and half and then add the red wine vinegar.
  3. Stir: add the rest of the ingredients and then stir together
  4. Pour: pour into a 9×9 baking dish
  5. Bake: bake for 25-30 minutes uncovered

Ingredients

  • 1 box frozen chopped spinach (thaw and squeeze out juice)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1 4-ounce can chopped jalapeños 
  • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine cream cheese and half & half and mix until smooth. Add the red wine vinegar.
  3. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, and pour into a round casserole dish or a 9×9 pan.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes uncovered. Serve with tortilla chips.

Can you make spinach dip ahead of time

Yes you can! Mix everything together and then store in the fridge covered until you are ready to bake. Make sure before you bake that you uncover it. You can make it a day ahead.
 

How to store leftover spinach dip

Store the leftover dip in an airtight container. When you are ready to eat again you can bake in the oven or reheat in the microwave
