Lemon Arugula Pasta Recipe

How to make Lemon, Arugula and Chicken Sausage Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to the directions on the back of the box.
  2. In a small saucepan add the butter and melt. Then add the heavy cream, right before it begins to boil add the lemon juice and then stir. Then add the parmesan and seasoning and let them simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet add the butter and then add the chicken sausage and onions and cook for a few minutes until the onions begin to sweat. Then once the pasta is done add the pasta to the skillet.
  4. Then add the finished sauce to the pasta and stir. Add the arugula and stir.
  5. Then garnish with cooked bacon, pine nuts and parmesan shavings. Then serve.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz box of campanelle
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup parmesan shavings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 pkg chicken apple sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and diced
  • 4 oz pine nuts
  • parmesan shavings to garnish
