Have you ever wondered what goes into making the yummy hummus you always see at the grocery store? It’s actually really easy to make and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients at all! Most of it you can find already in your pantry ready to go and trust me when I say you can make it better than store bought. I love all the different flavors you can add to hummus to make it exactly how you like it. Some of my personal favorites are roasted garlic, red pepper, and basil pesto hummus! Add these to this recipe for more flavor and don’t be shy to experiment. Throw some pita chips in a bowl and you now have the perfect appetizer to show off to all your friends.

Pro Tips

  • Slightly over cook the chickpeas before mixing them with the other ingredients. This will give your hummus the perfect texture and end in a creamier result.
  • Add a single ice cube to your blend for a fluffier outcome.
  • If you peel the chickpeas before cooking them you will get a smoother consistency. It won’t make the hummus taste any different, however the texture will turn out better!
