  – Sesame seeds for garnish

  – Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sauce:

   – In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and black pepper. Set aside.

  1. Cook the Ground Beef:

   – Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.

   – Drain any excess fat if needed.

  1. Add the Onion:

   – Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion softens.

  1. Add the Sauce:

   – Pour the prepared sauce over the ground beef mixture. Stir well to coat the beef evenly with the sauce.

   – Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and is absorbed by the beef.

  1. Finish and Garnish:

   – Stir in the chopped green onions. Cook for another minute until the green onions are just wilted.

   – Remove from heat.

  1. Assemble the Bowls:

   – Serve the Korean ground beef over a bowl of steamed rice.

   – Add steamed broccoli or your choice of vegetables on the side.

   – Garnish with sesame seeds and additional sliced green onions.
