How to make Easy Crockpot Bolognese

  1. In a large skillet heat add the carrots, celery and garlic. Cook together for about 6 minutes. Then add tomato paste and stir.
  2. In a separate skillet brown the ground beef. Then add the sauté vegetables with the tomato paste the the beef and mix together.
  3. Grab a crockpot and add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, thyme, bay leaves, minced onion, milk, half and half, chicken broth, and season with salt and pepper. Then stir.
  4. Add the ground beef and vegetable mixture to the crockpot and then stir.
  5. Cook on low for about 8 hours. Then serve!

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 large carrots, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped into small pieces
  • 3 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 Tablespoons oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon thyme
  • 3 Tablespoons dried minced onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 10 oz chicken broth
  • salt and pepper
