This is the perfect recipe for magic cookie bars and it is a MUST TRY! Trust me when I say this will become your new favorite recipe. If you’ve never tried your favorite cookie as a bar then you are missing out. They are super yummy and gooey inside! I love these bars because they are always soft inside even when they are a couple of days old. This recipe makes a ton in the batch and is perfect to share with friends and family. This is my new go to recipe to bring with me when I go over to peoples houses because everyone always falls in love with them. I am always getting asked for the recipe so here it is finally! I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Recipe for Magic Cookie Bars

Recipe for Magic Cookie Bars
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 14 oz eagle brand milk
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a 13x9 inch pan melt the butter or margarine in the oven. Then remove from oven.
  2. Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs on top.
  3. Then pour the sweetened condensed milk on top.
  4. Then the coconut
  5. Then the chocolate chips
  6. Press down firmly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool
  8. Chill if you would like. Then cut into bars and serve.
  9. Store loosely covered at room temp.
