Slow Cooker Italian Sausage and Pepper Sandwich
Ingredients
- Slow Cooker:
- 3 Bell Peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 lb Italian sausage links
- 1 28 oz can of petite diced tomatoes
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Place the bell peppers, onions and Italian sausage links in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Then pour the remaining slow cooker ingredients over.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Then remove from slow cooker and place on toasted hoagie rolls and top with fresh basil and enjoy!

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
8 Italian sandwich rolls, toasted ( a little more then you like so the bread holds together)
