What you are going to need to create this sweet treat: Mini Pretzels, Chopped Pecans, Brown  Sugar, Butter, Cream Cheese, Cool Whip, Powdered Sugar, Vanilla Extract, Fresh Strawberries,  Lemon Juice, Pure Cane Sugar, Small Mason Jars or Glasses, Food Processor, Mixing Bowl,  Handheld Electric Mixer, Spoons 

Strawberry Pretzel Trifle

Ingredients 

Pretzel Mix 

3 cups Mini Salted Pretzels 

1 cup Chopped Pecans 

4 tablespoons Butter, melted 

2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar 

Cream cheese filling 

8oz. Cream Cheese, softened 

8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed 

1/3 cup Powdered Sugar 

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract 

Strawberry Topping 

3 cups Fresh Strawberries, diced 

¼ cup Pure Cane Sugar 

2 tablespoons Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed

Directions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix freshly diced strawberries, pure cane sugar, and lemon juice.  Let strawberries sit while making other fillings. 
  2. In a food processor, pulse, pretzels, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter.  Pulse a few times to make sure the pretzels are broken into smaller pieces but not finely  chopped. 
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, mix cream cheese, cool whip, powdered sugar, and vanilla  extract, with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. 
  4. Grab mason jars or glasses of your choice. 
  5. Add in a large spoonful of the pretzel mixture, followed by a dollop of cream cheese  filling, next add a spoonful of diced strawberries.  
  6. Repeat layers until jar or glass is full. 
  7. Place in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

  • Choose fresh, ripe strawberries: This is an important step as the strawberries are the  main flavor in the trifle. You want to make sure they are sweet and juicy, so pick the  ripest strawberries you can find.
