White Texas Sheet Cake
Texas sheet cake is a family favorite! The chocolate version has been made hundreds of times in our home. But when I tried this white Texas sheet cake I fell in love with it even more!
This recipe is called white TEXAS sheet cake for a reason…it’s huge! Perfect for parties or if you eant to have a dessert in your house for a few days. Everyone always loves this recipes because it is a spin off of the famous chocolate sheet cake. I don’t know which one I like better but if you like milk chocolate better check out my other recipe here!
In my opinion, white Texas sheet cake tastes a lot better when it is made from scratch verse bought in a store. This recipe is not difficult to make and doesn’t take as long to cook as regular cakes do. I like this recipe when I am in a hurry for a yummy dessert and all of the kids love it!

How to Make White Texas Sheet Cake
White Texas Sheet Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- In a saucepan add the butter and water. Until the butter is melted and starts to boil. Then remove from heat and whisk in flour and sugar. Then add all remaining cake ingredients and whisk together
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 10x15 inch cookie sheet and pour batter into it. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Then set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
- Then begin to make the frosting. In a saucepan add the butter and milk. Melt together and bring to a light boil and then remove from heat. Whisk in the powdered sugar and almond extract. Then pour over the cake.

- Then, remove from heat and whisk in flour and sugar.
- Next, add all remaining cake ingredients and whisk together.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a 10×15 inch cookie sheet.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
