Want to make a super simple cheesy potatoes recipe? Some may call them funeral potatoes but honestly whatever you call them is great! I promise these are super easy and delicious! 

Ever wonder why these cheesy potatoes are so popular and known as funeral potatoes? People often make this casserole to bring to family gathering or potlucks because you can never go wrong with making them! They have a sense of comfort to them and are absolutely delicious. Not to mention they are super easy to make and don’t take a lot of ingredients to throw together. If you are looking for an extra element to add then try dome breadcrumbs on the top. They add some crunch to the recipe and is the perfect cherry on top. I promise these will always be a crowd favorite and everyone will be asking for the recipe!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 30 oz bag frozen hashbrowns
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 10 oz can cream of chicken
  • Grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together except for the cheese. You will sprinkle the cheese on top before putting it in the oven.
  2. Place in a grease 9x13 pan evenly and preheat the oven at 300 degrees.
  3. Put the cheese on top and bake for 60-90 minutes.
  4. Serve and enjoy at your next gathering!
