Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed French toast isn’t just for fancy restaurants. You can make this recipe right at home and your whole family can enjoy this strawberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast together! 

For those of you that have never had a stuffed french toast, this recipe is about to blow you away! This is the perfect meal to make for breakfast and everyone always loves this in the morning. Start your day off the right way and I promise you won’t be hungry again until dinner time. My whole family enjoys this recipe and it is very simple to make. Add your other favorite toppings to it at the end and it will become your new favorite breakfast dish! Try it our for yourself!

Strawberry-Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed French Toast-Strawberry and Cream Cheese

Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 t sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 12 slices white bread 
  • butter
  • powdered sugar
  • strawberry syrup
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix together the eggs, milk and sugar.
  2. Then take the bread and spread cream cheese on half of the bread and then top with strawberries.
  3. Next, place the top of the "sandwich" on.  Then press around the edges to seal the edges.
  4. Melt the butter on the griddle and then dip the sealed sandwiches in the egg mixture and then cook for a few minutes on each side.
  5. Then serve with powdered sugar and strawberry syrup.
  6. To make the syrup, in a medium saucepan add the strawberries and sugar.
  7. Then zest the lemon and add to the sauce pan and then squeeze the lemon and add the lemon juice to the saucepan.
  8. Next, place the pan over low heat and combine and then turn up the heat to medium and bring to a simmer until the syrup thickens.
  9. It will take at 15-18 minutes. Then remove from heat and let cool and then serve. 
  10. Lastly, serve and enjoy your yummy stuffed french toast!
