Rice Pilaf Recipe

No more boring rice. This rice pilaf made with butter, stock, onion, and herbs is delicious and makes for a perfect side dish! 

Rice pilaf makes for the perfect side dish and if you’ve never had it then you have to try out this recipe. Unlike boring plain rice, it has tons of flavor and is actually very simple to make! Rice is an excellent dish to pair with some of your other favorite meals because you can never go wrong. I really enjoy pairing it with different meat such as chicken, pork, and beef because it flows perfectly with the flavors. Everyone loves a good rice! The best part about rice pilaf is that it’s just as amazing by itself. You can eat it the next day for leftovers or just make it for a quick and healthy lunch! All of my family loves this recipe and I promise yours will too. Try it out!

How to Make Rice Pilaf

Rice Pilaf

Rice Pilaf
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped fine
  • 4 cups boiling stock
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • parsley
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in heavy sauce pan.
  2. Add in onion, stirring until translucent.
  3. Add rice and cook over low heat, stirring until looses raw color.
  4. Add stock and season to taste.
  5. Bring to a boil, cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
